Jorge Masvidal savagely responded to Gilbert Burns's Callouts

Masvidal vs Burns

UFC veteran Jorge Masvidal heard enough of fellow welterweight fighter Gilbert Burns and finally responded to the Brazilian fighter's online trolls. Burns claimed that UFC scheduled a fight between him and Masvidal on UFC 283, but the American fighter refused to fight him. Burns called him out many times in the past few months and finally got a response.

UFC's only BMF champion Jorge Masvidal responded through an Instagram post where he said,

"Sorry I've been missing," Masvidal said on Instagram. "Your boy's been spreading his words, doing his thing, making sure this country stays as free as can be. I love you all, left to right. Midterms are over already, so now I can focus on some other things like myself and being selfish. So I've got to address this little b**** that I usually wouldn't have time for, but I'll make some time for you today, Gilbert."

"Hunter [Campbell], if you're hearing this or when you see this, can you please tell this b**** I never agreed to November, December or January. I've had court cases, I've had different things, a bunch of things where I haven't been able to decide on when I fight." He further added.

For those who don't know, Jorge Masvidal attacked Colby Covington some days after losing a fight against him at UFC 272. Masvidal was charged with criminal mischief and two felonies for aggravated battery. In his video message, he might be referencing this case.

Jorge Masvidal participated in 51 MMA fights; his record is 35-16. He did not fight in UFC after his loss against Covington in March earlier this year. However, Masvidal might resume his fighting career soon, as he further said in the message.

"I've gotten some much better news on today, so guess what?" Masvidal shouted. "If you want to get you're a** wh**ped when Leon Edwards defends that f****** belt in England, I will gladly beat the living s*** out of you Gilbert. If not, shut the f*** up."

"Because you are a p****. You're not going to do nothing. When you see me in the street or when you see me in the cage, and we both know it, you're going to ask me for a picture in real life and say it's all bulls*** and it's just for the pay-per-view. So shut the f*** up."

Jorge Masvidal vs Gilbert Burns

Masvidal is eying a fight on the UK card in March next year, featuring another welterweight fight where Kamaru Usman will get a rematch against Leon Edwards. Burns has an MMA record of 20 wins and five losses. Gilbert Burns lost his last fight against Khamzat Chimaev in May this year. Burns blamed Jorge Masvidal for refusing to fight him not once but on three occasions. He said,

"Just letting everyone know that UFC offered me Jorge Masvidal 3x. First time was for Nov 12. He said he needs more time, Second time for Dec 10 he said he was going to [Brazil] to fight me and now he just said no again! So I guess the B from his BMF belt doesn't stand for bad."

Both fighters are coming off the losses in their previous fights. Hence, both competitors will try to get the victory if they meet on the said date.
